Puppets: An Introduction to Puppetry (Adults and Youth)

In this workshop, participants:
  1. Learn some of the creative uses of puppetry 
  2. Learn techniques of puppetry performance
  3. Sample and perform skits
  4. Look at staging and scenery 
  5. Learn how to go from story to skit
    
Puppets: Puppetry with Those With Memory Loss

People with memory loss can enjoy creative activities.  This is especially true with the
art of puppetry.  In this workshop, participants see pictures of puppets and puppeteers they
experienced as children and adults, view some puppet skits, have hands on experience
with different puppets, see that a puppet stage can be anywhere, act with hand puppets,
perform dialog and sing songs, build a puppet, and more.  Recommended for people with
memory loss, their relatives and care givers.

Puppets: Children Do Puppets (Grade 3 and older)

Through modeling and participation, children learn the art of puppetry by:
  1. Practicing techniques of puppetry performance
  2. Sampling and performing puppet skits/plays
  3. Looking at staging and scenery
  4. Learning how to go from story to skit/play.
